Isolate the power at the wall before cleaning. Acrylic scratches more easily than glass, so use a soft dry cloth and never an abrasive pad or a solvent cleaner. Fingerprints wipe off with a barely damp microfibre cloth. The LEDs are integrated and not user-replaceable, so there is no bulb changing to do.

A slim rectangular wall light that throws light up and down rather than out, so it grazes the wall instead of glaring at the room.
It comes as a set of two, which is how wall lights are normally used: either side of a bed, either side of a mirror, or in pairs down a corridor.
The body is acrylic and pure aluminium, 30cm tall, 12cm long and only 4cm off the wall.
Choose warm white at around 3000K or cool white at around 6000K. Warm suits a bedroom, cool suits a stairwell or an office.
The LEDs are integrated, so there is no bulb to buy and none to change. 12W in total.
Up-and-down sconces do something a shaded wall light cannot: they wash the wall above and below the fitting and leave the middle of the room alone. That makes them the right choice in a corridor, on a staircase, or beside a bed where a lamp pointing into the room would keep somebody awake.
This one is deliberately plain. A 30cm bar in acrylic and aluminium, 4cm off the wall, with no shade and no visible lamp. In a narrow hallway that 4cm matters, because anything deeper gets caught by a shoulder.
It ships as a pair. That is worth saying plainly, because a set of two at £79 is a different proposition from a single fitting at £79, and wall lights are almost always wanted in twos.
Two colour temperatures are offered at the same price. Warm white at around 3000K is the bedroom and living room choice. Cool white at around 6000K is crisper and suits a stairwell, a garage, a study or a commercial corridor.
The LEDs are integrated at 12W. Nothing to buy, nothing to change, and no lampholder to fail. The trade off, stated honestly, is that when an integrated LED eventually reaches the end of its life the fitting is replaced rather than re-lamped.
The manufacturer is explicit about two things and we will repeat them. Do not wire it to a dimmer switch, because the light will flicker: no dimmer is supplied and none should be added. And connect nothing to the power until the fitting is fully assembled and mounted to a properly fixed electrical box.

Why are gloves included?
To keep fingerprints off the acrylic during installation. Acrylic marks more easily than glass.
How is it fixed to the wall?
Surface mounted to an electrical box. The manufacturer requires that the box is properly attached to a component of the building, not just to plasterboard.
Can I install it myself?
It is hardwired on mains. Isolate the circuit, do not connect the power until the fitting is fully assembled, and use an electrician if mains wiring is not routine for you.
Do the two lights have to be wired together?
They are two separate fittings, so they can go on one switched circuit or on two, depending on how you want to control them.
How heavy is each one?
0.54 kg, so plasterboard fixings are enough as long as the electrical box behind is properly fixed.
Will it light a whole room?
No. It is accent and ambient lighting, not a main room light. Pair it with a ceiling fitting.
How high should it go on a wall?
In a corridor, around 1.6m to 1.8m from the floor. Beside a bed, around 1.2m to 1.5m, depending on the bed height.
How far apart should a pair be in a hallway?
Around 2m to 2.5m between centres gives an even run without gaps.
Does the aluminium get hot?
It warms slightly, as any LED fitting does, because the body is the heatsink. It should not get hot to the touch.
How do I clean it?
Power off, then a soft dry cloth. For marks, a barely damp microfibre. Never an abrasive pad or a solvent, because acrylic scratches.

Up-down light, and where it belongs
A shaded wall light throws its light into the room. An up-down sconce throws it at the
wall, where it grazes the surface and bounces back soft. Those are different jobs. If
you want to read by it, buy the swing-arm sconce. If you want a corridor, a staircase or
a bedside that is lit without glare, this is the shape.
It comes as a pair, and that is the point
Wall lights are rarely wanted singly. Two either side of a bed, two either side of a
mirror, two down a hallway. At £79 for the set, the sums work out differently from a
single fitting at the same price, so compare like for like when you are shopping.
Warm or cool
3000K warm white is what a bedroom or a living room wants: it flatters skin and it
reads as evening. 6000K cool white is brighter to the eye at the same wattage and reads
as daytime, which suits a stairwell, a study, a garage or an office corridor. Both cost
the same, and you cannot change your mind later, because the LED is integrated.
The two warnings worth repeating
The manufacturer says the light will flicker on a dimmable switch. Believe it, and wire
it to an ordinary switch. And the mounting box has to be fixed to the structure of the
building rather than hanging in plasterboard. Both are the sort of instruction that gets
skimmed and then causes a call-out.
